About Circuit Racing — Classic Top-Down Time Trial Racer
Circuit Racing is a top-down time-trial racer — the purest form of competition. There are no rivals to bump, just you, a winding track and the clock. This is the hot-lap discipline: running the same circuit over and over, shaving off every hundredth of a second.
The car accelerates on its own — you simply steer it toward your finger or pointer while the whole track stays in view. The subtle twist is that hard steering also slows the car down: that is your cornering grip. A game is three laps on a fixed track, so every run is directly comparable, and sliding onto the grass costs you a brutal amount of speed.
The skill is the racing line. Brake early by steering, take a late apex, and carry your speed onto the straight. Every tenth of a second counts. It is the honest, addictive loop of trying to beat your own best — the heart of what makes racing games so replayable.
Tips & strategy
Brake by steering — the car slows whenever you hold a turn, so flick the wheel early rather than late.
Aim for a late apex — turn in gently, clip the inside of the corner near its exit, then unwind onto the straight.
Keep the wheel still on straights — any steering caps your top speed, so let go when the road runs straight.
Stay off the grass — it bleeds far more speed than a clean corner; a tidy lap always beats a ragged fast one.
Use the full width of the track — start a corner from the outside edge to open up the tightest bends.
Look ahead, not at the car — read the next corner early so you are already turning when you reach it.
Consistency wins — a string of clean laps beats one brilliant lap and two spins.
Frequently asked questions
How do you play Circuit Racing?
Touch and drag — the car turns to head toward your finger, and accelerates on its own. Complete three laps of the circuit and try to beat your best time.
How do I control the car?
There is no accelerator or brake pedal. Steering both turns the car and naturally scrubs off speed to help you through the corner.
Why does my car slow down in corners?
Holding a steering input reduces your top speed — that is your cornering grip. Release the steering on the straights to climb back to full speed.
What happens if I go off the track?
The grass slows you down sharply. Staying on the asphalt and following a smooth line is always the fastest way around.
How long is a race?
Three laps. Both your total race time and your best single lap are recorded at the end.
Is my best time saved?
Yes. Your fastest three-lap time and your fastest single lap are stored on your device and shown as targets to beat.
