About Car Racing — Endless Highway Dodge Game
Car Racing is an endless highway dodge — one of the purest arcade formats there is. There is no finish line and no lap counter. There is only the road ahead, a stream of slower traffic, and your reflexes deciding how far you get before the inevitable crash.
You hold a lane on a four-lane highway while cars drift toward you from the horizon. Steer left or right to thread the gaps. The longer you survive, the faster everything moves — the lane markings blur, the engine climbs in pitch, and the windows of opportunity between cars shrink to almost nothing.
It is a game built entirely around the speed curve. The first thirty seconds feel relaxed and forgiving; a minute in, you are making split-second lane changes at full throttle. Your score is simply the distance you cover, so every run is a direct contest against your own best.
Tips & strategy
Stay near the centre of the road when you can. A central position gives you an escape route on both sides instead of just one.
Look at the top of the screen, not at your own car. You react to traffic where it spawns, not where it already is.
Commit to a gap early. Hesitating halfway between two lanes is the most common way to clip a car.
Small corrections beat big swerves. The car carries momentum — oversteering into a gap often carries you straight into the next car.
Plan two waves ahead. The lane that is clear right now may be blocked by the time you arrive, so pick a path that stays open.
Speed only ever rises, so bank distance calmly early on rather than taking wild risks while it is still slow.
When two lanes are open side by side, take the one that keeps you closer to the centre for the next decision.
Skim past traffic on purpose to build your combo. Each near miss raises the multiplier up to x5, which multiplies both your score and the coins you bank for new cars.
Frequently asked questions
How do I steer the car?
On desktop, hold the left or right arrow key (or A and D). On mobile, hold the left half of the screen to steer left and the right half to steer right. The car keeps turning while you hold.
How is my score calculated?
Your score is the distance you travel. The faster you go and the longer you survive, the higher it climbs. It updates continuously as you drive.
Does the game get faster?
Yes, constantly. Your speed rises with the distance you cover, the traffic appears more often, and the gaps get tighter. The engine pitch rising is your cue that things are heating up.
Is it ever impossible to get through?
No. Every wave of traffic always leaves at least one lane open, so there is always a path. If you crash, it was a reachable gap you missed.
Why does the other traffic move slowly?
The other cars are slower vehicles you are overtaking on the highway. Because you are faster, they appear to drift backwards down the screen — that relative speed is what you have to time.
Does my best score save?
Yes. Your best distance is stored in your browser and persists between sessions, even if you close the tab or refresh the page.
How do combos and the garage work?
Skimming close past a car triggers a near miss, which builds a combo multiplier up to x5. The multiplier boosts your score and the coins you earn. Coins are banked when you crash and can be spent in the garage to unlock new car skins that carry over between runs.
