About Water Sort Puzzle — Free Color Sorting Game Online
Water Sort Puzzle is a calm, addictive color-sorting brain game. You are given a row of glass tubes, each partly filled with stacked layers of colored water all jumbled together. Your job is simple to grasp but tricky to master: pour the water from tube to tube until every tube holds just one single color.
Play is built around one rule. Tap a tube to pick it up, then tap a second tube to pour. Water only flows onto a matching color or into a completely empty tube, and only if there is room. When you pour, the whole block of same-colored water on top moves at once, so a single pour can shift one layer or several. Two spare empty tubes give you the breathing room to untangle the mix.
Every level is generated to be one hundred percent solvable, so there is no luck and no dead ends you cannot escape. There is no timer and no score to chase — just an unlimited Undo button, a Restart option, and a steady climb through endless levels that add more colors as you improve. It is the perfect puzzle for a quiet five minutes or a long, focused session.
Tips & strategy
You can only pour a color onto the same color or into a completely empty tube — plan every move around that single rule.
A pour moves the entire run of same-colored water sitting on top, not just one layer. Check how tall that run is before you commit.
Treat the two empty tubes as temporary workspace. Filling them with random colors too early traps you fast.
Aim to fully empty one tube as soon as you can — an extra free tube multiplies your options.
When you have a choice, pour into the tube that already holds the most of that color so you finish it sooner.
Look two or three moves ahead. A pour that feels good now can bury a color you need later.
Stuck? Use Undo — it steps back as far as you want. Every puzzle has a solution, so a reset is never required.
Frequently asked questions
How do you play Water Sort Puzzle?
Tap a tube to pick it up — it lifts slightly — then tap a second tube to pour the water across. Keep sorting until every tube holds a single color or is empty. That completes the level.
What is the pouring rule?
Water can only be poured onto a layer of the exact same color, or into a fully empty tube. The destination tube must also have enough space. If those conditions are not met, the pour will not happen.
Is every level actually solvable?
Yes. Each level is built by scrambling a solved arrangement with reversible moves, which guarantees a valid solution always exists. You never get an impossible puzzle.
Can I undo a move?
Yes. The Undo button has no limit — tap it to step back move by move, all the way to the start of the level if you need to.
What if I run out of moves?
Some sequences of pours can jam the board. If that happens, the game offers Undo to back out of the dead end, or Restart Level to begin the same layout fresh.
Does my progress save automatically?
Yes. Your current level, board state and best level reached are stored in your browser, so you can close the tab and continue later from where you left off.
How many levels are there?
Levels are endless. They start with just three colors and gradually add more — up to nine — so the challenge keeps growing as your sorting skills improve.
