Card values are simple. An Ace counts as one, the number cards as their face value, a Jack as eleven, a Queen as twelve, and a King as thirteen. Because a King already equals thirteen on its own, it never needs a partner — you can discard it the moment it is uncovered. Every other card waits for its exact match: a Queen with an Ace, a Ten with a Three, a Seven with a Six.
Only fully uncovered cards can be played, so the order in which you peel the pyramid matters enormously. A draw pile of twenty-four cards gives you extra ammunition, and you may pass through it up to three times. Part planning, part luck, Pyramid Solitaire is quick to learn, hard to master, and perfectly suited to a short break.
Each pyramid pair you clear in an unbroken run raises the combo: the second match scores double, the third triple, and so on. Drawing or recycling the deck resets the combo to one, so plan a chain of free pairs before you flip a new card. Your best combo is saved between games.
