About Mini Golf — Free 9-Hole Putting Course Game Online

Mini Golf — also called miniature golf or putt-putt — is the relaxed, family-friendly cousin of the full-size game. Instead of long fairways you get short, clever holes packed with walls, banks, sand and water. It is all touch and angles: read the layout, judge the strength, and roll the ball into the cup.

This browser version is a full 9-hole course with a total par of 29. You aim by pulling back from the ball — like a slingshot — and releasing to putt. The further you pull, the harder the shot; a colour-coded guide line shows the direction and power. Bounce the ball off the wooden rails, skirt the bunkers, and carry the water hazards.

Every hole is scored in strokes against its par. Sink it under par for a birdie or eagle, match it for par, go over for a bogey. Your round is saved automatically so you can pick up where you left off, and your best total is kept — so there is always a score to beat. Free, no install, no sign-up.

Tips & strategy

  • Watch the aim line's colour: green is a soft tap, yellow is medium, red is a full-power blast. Match the colour to the distance.
  • Near the cup, pull back only a little. The hole has a slight magnetic pull that helps gentle, accurate putts drop in.
  • When a wall blocks the direct line, bank the ball off a side rail — angle in equals angle out.
  • Sand bunkers kill the ball's speed fast. Either avoid them or hit harder to power through.
  • Water costs you a penalty stroke and sends the ball back. Play safe and go around it.
  • Don't overshoot. A ball racing over the cup too fast will not drop — controlled beats powerful.
  • Line up the whole shot before you pull: the guide line shows exactly where the ball will start rolling.

Frequently asked questions

How do you play Mini Golf?

Pull back from the ball to aim — the ball fires in the opposite direction. The further you pull, the harder the putt. Release to take the shot and sink the ball in the cup.

How is the score calculated?

Each shot counts as one stroke. Every hole has a par; finishing under par is a birdie or eagle, matching it is a par, and going over is a bogey. Your goal is the lowest total across all 9 holes.

Can I play Mini Golf on my phone?

Yes. Drag anywhere on the screen to aim — your finger never has to be on the ball, so it never blocks your view. Release to putt.

What happens if the ball goes in the water?

You take a one-stroke penalty and the ball is placed back where you played that shot from. Aim around the water hazards to keep your score low.

Does my round save automatically?

Yes. Your progress and scorecard are stored in your browser after each hole, so you can close the tab and continue the round later. Your best total round is saved too.

How many holes are there?

The course has 9 holes with a combined par of 29, ranging from a simple straight putt to a five-par finale with walls, sand and water.
