Asteroid Storm is a classic vector-style arcade shooter set in a deep-space asteroid field. You pilot a small ship that rotates, thrusts and fires, drifting with real momentum as jagged rocks tumble all around you. Every rock you shoot breaks apart. A large asteroid splits into two medium ones, each medium splits into two small ones, and the small fragments fly fast before they finally shatter for good. The more you shoot, the more the screen fills with quick little rocks — so picking your targets matters. A flying saucer also drifts in now and then, firing at your ship and worth a juicy bonus if you can blast it.

Your ship obeys momentum: thrust pushes you forward, but you keep gliding until you turn and burn the other way. The screen wraps at every edge, so flying off the top brings you back at the bottom. Clear all the rocks to trigger the next, bigger wave. You have three lives, earn a bonus life at 10,000 points, and your best score is saved in your browser.

Tips & strategy

  • Go easy on the thrust. Your ship drifts with momentum — short taps keep you in control, long burns send you skidding into danger.
  • Think before you break a big rock. One large asteroid becomes seven fragments in total; don't shatter everything at once or you'll be swarmed.
  • Use the screen wrap. Flying off one edge to reappear on the other is a perfect escape when rocks close in from all sides.
  • Never sit still. A stationary ship is an easy target — keep a slow drift going so you always have somewhere to dodge.
  • Hunt the saucer carefully. It is worth 200 points, but it shoots back — strike when you have a clear line and room to dodge.
  • Clear the small rocks. Tiny fragments are the fastest and hardest to dodge, so deal with a cluster of them before it spreads out.
  • Fire in bursts. You can only have four shots on screen at once, so aim each one instead of spraying blindly.
